HMS Resolution - Battleship

Country : UK
Launched : 14th January 1915

HMS Resolution was built by Palmers and launched 14th January 1915 and completed December 1916. and immediately joined the 1st battle squadron of the Grand Fleet. In April 1919 after the war joined the 2nd battle squadron Atlantic Fleet and became Flagship of the 1st battle squadron in The Mediterranean. During World war two she she served in the Home Fleet on Atlantic Convoy duties 1939 - 1940 and in the US was refitted 1941. Joined the Eastern Fleet 1942 to 1943, and became a training ship in 1944 - 1945. Scrapped at Faslane, Scotland on the 13th of May 1948. Displacement: 28,500 without bulges, 30,100 Speed: 21.0 knots Compliment: 920 Armament: Eight 15-inch guns in pairs and fourteen 6 -inch guns. Two 3 inch Anti Aircraft Guns.
