21st October 1937 - Laid down at Chatham Dockyard. 21st October 1937 - Laid down at Chatham Dockyard 6th October 1939 - Launched 6th October 1939 - Pennant Number 42 20th March 1940 - Sailed Alexandria on "Operation save Malta" 30th June 1941 - Commissioned 13th June 1942 - Sailed from Alexandria to join Convoy MW11 which had sailed earlier from Egypt (Operation VIGOROUS). 14th June 1942 - Met convoy and came under air attacks. Under threat of attack by U77 15th June 1942 - Under attack by German E-Boats October 1942 - Deployed as escort for Convoy MW13 to Malta from Egypt (Operation PORTCULLIS) 9th June 1943 - Bombardment of Pantelleria November 1944 - British Pacific Fleet November 1944 - Capt. R. S. Warne, CBE 16th January 1945 - Formed Part of Force 63 30th August 1945 - Arrived Hong Kong 11th March 1946 - At Hong Kong 4th August 1946 - Off Hong Kong 31st July 1951 - Arrived Abadan 25th January 1952 - Capt.
