Ordered to be relieved by HMS Falmouth August 1914 - East Indies Squadron - Eastern Fleet August 1914 - East Indies Station (Columbo) 6th October 1914 - Arrived at Mombasa from the northward 27th November 1914 - Sailed Zanzibar for Dar-es-Salaam to cut out, destroy, or put out of action any shipping in the harbour 28th November 1914 - Anchored off Makatumbe Island 1916 - At Jiddah for the the conveyance of the Holy Carpet from Suez to Jiddah January 1916 - Operations in the Red Sea 21st March 1916 - Destroyed the Turkish forts at Umlejh and Wejh 9th June 1916 - Anchored off Jiddah July 1916 - Bombarded Wehj 7th July 1916 - Bombarded Qunfudah 1917 - Further service on the Red Sea Patrol 1917 - Completed operations in the Red Sea 21st January 1917 - Operation to take Wehj 30th November 1917 - Bombardment of Dar-es-Salaam 1918 - Prepared for service as a depot ship at Archangel, North Russia 1919 - Preparation completed 27th April 1919 - Sailed Sheerness for Archangel - severe gale in North Sea which necessitated a call at Rosyth 4th May 1919 - Sailed Rosyth. 9th May 1919 - Arrived at Murmansk. 10th May 1919 - Sailed Murmansk for Archangel 16th May 1919 - Arrived Archangel. 27th September 1919 - Separted Archangel for England following the conclusion of the Archangel River Expeditionary Force. 7th October 1919 - Arrived Sheerness 1920 - Sold to breakers | |||
