HMS Coromandel Laid Down : Launched : 8th January 1855 Completed : Type : Frigate Class : Builder : White Country : India Pennants : Fate : Acquired the civilian vessel named Tartar from P & O Steam Navigation Company, launched on 24th September 1853 by Thomas & Robert White, Cowes, Isle of Wight. Sold 17th August 1866 and served with Japanese Navy and renamed Naruto. Broken up 1876. |
