| Ordered in 1943 as a Loch Class frigate (Loch Mochrum) but contract changed and she was laid down as a Bay Class frigate (Pegwell Bay). After launching, the contract was terminated and she was towed to Devonport Dockyard for completion as a Survey Vessel and renamed HMS Cook before completion. |
