CPO ALFRED DRAGE.. My father, CPO Alfred Drage was the
Buffer on the Ambuscade during the latter part of World War 2. In
1944 (I think it was about then!), the ship was in Govan Shipyard for
repairs and I was invited aboard for the day. The ship was moved to
another berth on the Clyde, and I was allowed to remain on the
bridge. Being only 14 years old, this was a very exciting
experience. I still have a wooden carving of the ship's crest, which
was carved for him by a member of the crew. Sadly, my father died in
1969, at the age of 69yrs. When I was born he was an A.B. on the
destroyer HMS Anthony, hence my Christian name. Contact

LESLIE MUSHINS.. My father joined
Ambuscade as an Ordinary Seaman on 19th Feb 1941 and left as an AB on 30th
April 1942. I would be interested if anyone could provide any information
concerning Ambuscade during the dates my father was aboard. Contact me at Mushins@aol.com
