during the Falklands war with HMS Sheffield and HMS Coventry being lost.
Displacement: 3,500 tons Standard, and 4,100 tons
full load. Speed@ 29 Knots, Compliment: 253 incl 24 Officers, It has
accommodation for 312. armament|: Missiles: Surface to
Air: British aero space. Sea Dart GWS 30 twin launcher with a total
of 22 missiles. One Vickers 4.5 inch / 55 caliber Mk 8.
two Oerlikon 20mm GAM-BO1 . plus 2 Oerlikon 20mm Mk 9's. Plus 2 general Electric/
Dynamics 20mm Vulcan Phalanx Mk15, with six barrels per
launcher. Plus Six 324mm Torpedo
