Class Guided Missile Destroyers. Photos and history of
the County Class guided missile destroyers, including HMS Devonshire, HMS
Hampshire, HMS London, HMS Kent, HMS Fife, HMS Glamorgan, HMS Antrim and
HMS Norfolk. HMS Norfolk became the first operational Royal
Navy warship to fire a surface to surface missile in 1974, during trials
of a conversion of B turret to fire Exocet missiles. Subsequently,
HMS Antrim, HMS Fife and HMS Glamorgan also underwent the conversion. |
