  Carnot French  Battleship of the 1890's.  The history and photographs of the French battleship Carnot, was built at Toulon, and laid down in July 1891 and  launched in July 1894. completed in July 1897.  considered to be a sister ship to Charles Martel  apart form a difference in the Hull  shape. a cut down Bridge and absence of a Military ,main mast. and no flying deck.  Another difference was that the funnels were more widely spaced and the fore funnel was larger than the after funnel.  

Displacement: 11954 tons,  Speed: 17.8 knots. Crew 647.  Armament: Armament: Two 12 inch / 45 cal. M1887  guns, Two 10.8 inch /45 calibre M1887  guns. and Eight 5.5 inch / 45 caliber guns QF M1888.  Four 9 pounder, and twelve (increased later two 16) 3 pounder.  Eight 1 pounder revolvers.   Two 18 inch torpedo Tubes (submerged.) 

Carnot 12th July 1894 Scrapped sometime after 1922.

The French battleship Carnot c.1900. She was launched in July 1894 and was similar to the Charles Martel design.
