JEAN BART. . went to St Petersburg along with France on a official visit in July 1914. and jsut managed to leave the Baltic area at the outbreak of world war one. She was transferred along with her sister ships to the Mediterranean from august 1914. she was damaged when torpedoed by Austro Hungarian U-Boat U12. which hit the wine store but the magazine store near by remained un touched. after the war she was continued in service and in 1931 became a training ship was disarmed in 1938 and renamed Ocean (only as a hulk) during her refit she has her forward funnels replaced with one single funnel and a tripod foremast. in a second refit she has some new boilers fitted but reconstruction was halted. On the 7th March 1944 she was damaged during an allied air raid and o the 15th March 1944 the Germans used her for Explosive trials and she was sunk. JEAN A BARRE. . Est all? Sur le septi?e le 1944 mars elle a ??ndommag? pendant une attaque AERIENNE et o alli?e 15e le 1944 mars les Allemands l'a utilis? pour les proc? Explosifs et elle a ??oul?.
