Jack Fairman
| Jack Fairman (deceased) Jack Fairman was born in Surrey in March 1913. Formula One racing driver. Part of the team who in August 1952, broke three world records and five class records in a marathon seven day race in a Jaguar XK120. His best race result was fourth in the British Grand Prix. He drove a BRM in the 1957 British Grand Prix at Aintree and one of Bernie Ecclestones Connaughts in the '58 race. His final World Championship outing came in a private Cooper-Climax at Monza in 1961, although two years later - at the age of 50 - he drove one of Carel de Beauforts Ecurie Maarsbergen Porsches in the non-Championship City of Imola Grand Prix where he finished seventh. Sadly, Jack Fairman died 12th February 2002 in Rugby, Warwickshire. |
