Last class of German destroyers laid down before World War Two

Displacement: 2,400 tons  Speed: 38 knots,  Crew 315  Range: 4,850 miles at 19 knots,  Armament: Five 5 -inch guns ,  Six 37mm AA in pairs,  Twelve 20mm AA guns,  Eight  21 inch Torpedo Tubes.  When fitted as a minelayer they carried 60 mine..
Diether von Roeder (Z17) 19th August 1937 Scuttled after second Battle of Narvik on 13th April 1940.
Hans Lüdemann (Z18) 1st December 1937 Scuttled after second Battle of Narvik on 13th April 1940.
Hermann Künne (Z19) 22nd December 1937 Scuttled after second Battle of Narvik on 13th April 1940, raised and scrapped in 1960s.
Karl Galster (Z20) 15th June 1938 Given to the USSR at the end of the war and served as Protshnyi until scrapped in the 1950s.
