BLEASDALE
I am
interested in any information anyone has on H.M.S.Bleasedale. My father
served
on this ship during the war and I am just trying to find out anything I
can

TANATSIDE.. GEORGE SMITH.. My grandfather George served on board HMS
Tanatside as a medical officer or doctor, and I would like any information
on the Tanatside.

DERWENT.. SYDNEY WILLIAM JACKSON.. I am trying to find
information about my grandfather Petty Officer (Stoker) Sydney Jackson who
later became Chief Petty Officer. He served on HMS Derwent during WW2 and
received a mention in Despatched during his service with the ship. I would
like to be able to access his service record as he served as a regular
naval rating before, during and after the war, eventually finishing his
working life in the boiler house at Devonport Dockyards. Any information

HMS PENYLAN.. My fiancée's father was onboard the HMS Penylan when it was torpedoed.
I am looking for any information on this ship i.e. survivors.
HMS AIREDALE
WILLIAM CHARLES HOLLAND.. My Uncle, William Holland, served in
HMS Hood from 1936-1940 as AB, Leading Seaman and P.O Torpedoman. He then
served in Airedale as P.O TGM from November 1941 to June 1942 when he wa
killeed in action at the time of the sinking of Airedale. I would be very
grateful to hear from anyone who may have known him.
SEEKING INFORMATION . I am seeking information on this Hunt
Class destroyer. I have located two ordinary seamen memorials but
little other information seems to be available. can anybody help me.

SYDNEY RUTTER . This is written on behalf of Sydney who
is in his 90's. He was on HMS Airedale when it was bombed and put out of
action, then sunk by our own ship. He still remembers some of his ship
mates singing "Roll Out the Barrels" while waiting to be picked
up. If anyone remembers him contact S James at

SKYNNER.. My father served as a sub Lt on HMS Easton and may have been
at Willhelmshaven in June 1945, taking the surrender of the port before
the forces arrived. If anyone has any information or photos of that period

in the illegal immigrants crisis, intercepting and escorting to Haifa,

RONALD FREDRICK (RONNIE) DOUG. My father served on board HMS
Wensleydale and was on board when she was accidentally rammed by LST367. He no longer has any photo's of the ship and he would also like to get
hold of the full history of HMS Wensleydale. He is now Eighty and he
would like to contact any old shipmates who knew him. He suspects there is
not many of his friends around still. But if you can help in anyway with
photos or know any ex crew.
