HMS AVON VALE
ARTHUR JIMMY JAMES: My Father served on HMS Avon Vale. I am
trying to confirm this, can anybody help. and tell me if HMS Avon vale was
in Chatham Dockyard sept/Oct 1943.
HMS BICESTER
My father served on HMS Bicester, HMS Kilmalcolm and
HMS Pozarica during WWII. He is very much alive and well at the age of 81
years and if any of the crews of the above ships are still around,
HMS CALPE
JAMES (BERTIE) WEBB... I am trying to find photos of HMS Calpe
on which my father served during WW2. I am trying to frame a picture of
Calpe for his 80th birthday. Are there any shipmates that remember him?
HMS COWDRAY
I am trying to locate a photo of HMS Cowdray, I have a model of this ship
that my brother made for me whilst serving on her on Russian convoys inWW2,unfortunately it got damaged ,and I need a photo so that I can see
what goes where. A photo of a similar Hunt Class would probably be OK. Would
appreciate it if anyone could help.

My father John Tarrant served on HMS Cambrian, HMS Cowdray, HMS Carron and HMS Savage just after WWII. If anyone has photos
of these ships or served on them during this time and remembers my father
HMS DULVERTON
I would like to contact A Wolley (ref HMS Dulverton) last known
Australia, or any of the 109 survivors of Saturday 13th November 1943,
American family are trying to make contact. Any help greatly appreciated.
My father survived the sinking of HMS Dulverton. He
would like to know where to find the official report of the disaster. Can
anyone help?.

HMS ERIDGE
DeGRUCHY... My cousin Alan DeGruchy lost his father on HMS
Eridge on 28th August 1942 following a torpedo attack. For many years he
has been seeking information on the incident. His mother is approaching 90
and I fell he would like to pass on any info etc before she leaves this
world. His mother suffered terrible mental stress following her husbands
death, in fact she never really recovered. A sad story but one of many I
fear.

HMS GROVE
STANLEY ALBERT HUCKLE: My Late mothers
first husband was lost when HMS grove was sunk in 1942. I am desperate for
Information and any Photos of the ship and its crew, if you can help
SURGEON Lt Cdr JAMES WILLOUGHBY WOOD RNVR.. Any
information regarding my father (above) and the sinking of HMS Grove on
12th June 1942 off Sollum, would be very much appreciated. I am trying to
find out the circumstances under which he was mentioned in despatches.

BENJAMIN JOHN FLEETWOOD.. Ben Fleetwood served aboard HMS Grove and
was lost when the ship was torpedoed on 12th June 1942. Any
information/photographs of HMS Grove an its crew would be appreciated.

WILLIAM HENRY
RICHARDSON.. My father William Henry Richardson, was lost when
Heythrop was sunk on the 20th March 1942. I have never been able to
find a photograph of the ship or it's crew. If anybody has photos or

HMS LEDBURY
I would
be very interested to hear from anyone who may have served aboard Ledbury
(Type 2 Hunt Class Destroyer) with my late dad Fred (Jan) Farmer
(stoker). I believe he was aboard her during the Convoy PQ17
and also Operation Pedestal taking the tanker Ohio into Malta.

My father served on HMS Tetcott during WW2. Is

HMS WILTON
THOMAS BELL AB, JX
4657357.. My father served on the Wilton from January 1942 onwards and was
present during various convoy operations, i.e. arctic, Mediterranean
(namely Pedestal) and N. African. His battle station was supplying
ammunition to X and Y gun turrets. I am endeavouring to put together a
graphic representation of dad's and Wilton's war service with the aim of
perpetuating their respective memories. Any information, photos or
mementoes will be greatly appreciated. I would dearly love to hear from anyone who knew dad and who may
possibly have photos of crew and ship.
