Armament: Three 4.7 inch guns.  One 3 inch anti-aircraft gun. Two 2pdr anti-aircraft guns (except Wolverine which had four 20mm anti-aircraft guns) and three 21 inch torpedo tubes.

HMS Whitshed had the following armament: Two 4.7 inch guns.   One 3 inch anti-aircraft gun, two 6pdr anti-aircraft guns, three 2 pdr anti-aircraft guns,  two 20mm anti-aircraft guns and three 21 inch torpedo tubes.

HMS Veteran. Built at Clydebank and launched 26th April 1919.  she was torpedoed by U-404 in the North Atlantic. 26th September 1942

GORDON HOOK. My uncle was killed when HMS Veteran went down on 26th September 1942. the family have known very little about the circumstances of his death, but I understand there were definitely no survivors from the ship and that it went down south of Iceland. if you have any useful contact points i.e if families of the crew might be contacted.
