Wales, on the 27th of February 1941, Anthony George Faulkner played rugby for Pontypool RFC as a Prop Forward during the 1970s and attained 19 caps for Wales, making his international debut in 1975. He also played for the British Lions in 1977 and later became coach for Newport. |

Bobby Windsor *Signature Value : £20 | Robert William Windsor was born in Newport, Monmouthshire on the 31st January 1948, known as Bobby and nicknamed 'The Duke', is a former welsh rugby Union international rugby player. Robert William Windsor who gained 28 rugby union caps for Wales as a hooker between 1973 and 1979. Robert Windsor made his debut for Wales against Australia in 1973 at Cardiff, a match Wales won by 24 points to nil with Windsor scoring a hooker's try, and took over from Jeff Young as first-choice hooker. The Pontypool front row played for Wales as a unit 19 times during the 1970s, . Robert William Windsor played his last international match against France in February 1979. Robert Windsor was selected for two British Lions tours and in 1974 on the Lions tour of South Africa Windsor played in all the tests. In 1977 On the tour of New Zealand, Windsor played only in the first test. |
Gareth Edwards *Signature Value : £25 | Sir Gareth Owen Edwards CBE (born 12th July 1947) is a Welsh former rugby union player who played scrum-half and has been described by the BBC as arguably the greatest player ever to don a Welsh jersey. In 2003, in a poll of international rugby players conducted by Rugby World magazine, Edwards was declared the greatest player of all time. In 2007, former England captain Will Carling published his list of the '50 Greatest Rugby players' in The Daily Telegraph, and ranked Edwards the greatest player ever, stating; 'He was a supreme athlete with supreme skills, the complete package. He played in the 1970s, but, if he played now, he would still be the best. He was outstanding at running, passing, kicking and reading the game. He sits astride the whole of rugby as the ultimate athlete on the pitch'. Edwards was prominent in the Welsh national team that was to the fore in European rugby in the 60s and 70s. He is one of a small group of Welsh players to have won three Grand Slams including Ryan Jones, Adam Jones, Gethin Jenkins, Gerald Davies and J. P. R. Williams. In the 2007 New Year Honours, Edwards became a CBE for services to sport. He was knighted in the Queen's Birthday Honours of 2015, for services to sport and for charitable services. |
Geoff Wheel *Signature Value : £20 | Geoff Wheel was born in Swansea on the 30th of June 1951. A Rugby Union Prop and a former Wales international rugby union player who attained 32 international caps. Geoff Wheel played his club rugby with Swansea Rugby football club as a Prop (A lock-forward). On the 2nd of February 1974, Geaff Wheel made his international debut on for Wales against Ireland and between 1974 and 1982 he formed a formidable second-row partnership for Wales with Allan Martin during the second 'golden-age' of the Wales international team. Mervyn Davies (deceased) *Signature Value : £25 | Known universally as Merv the Swerve the number eight led Wales to the 1976 Five Nations Grand Slam. Thomas Mervyn Davies was born on the 9th of December 1946 in Swansea and was a former Welsh rugby union player who won 38 caps for Wales as a No. 8. Davies attended Penlan County School. Thomas Mervyn Davies joined London Welsh in 1968, later moving to Swansea. He won his first cap for Wales in 1969 against Scotland, going on to play 38 consecutive matches for Wales and scoring two tries. During this period Wales won two Grand Slams and three Triple Crowns. He won a total of 38 caps for Wales and went on two victorious British and Irish Lions tours in 1971 and 1974, playing in eight tests. In a total of 46 international appearances for Wales and the Lions he only ended on the losing side nine times. Thomas Mervyn Davies was handed the captaincy of Wales in 1975 and skippered the side to the Five Nations Championship in the same year, and the Grand Slam the following season. In a poll of Welsh Rugby fans in 2002, Davies was voted both Greatest Ever Welsh Captain and Greatest Ever Welsh Number 8. In 2001 he was inducted into the International Rugby Hall of Fame. Sadly Thomas Mervyn Davies died on 16th March 2012 and will be sadly missed by all rugby enthusiasts. |

In January 1973 at the Arms Park Cardiff, Tom David played in the historic Barbarians match against New Zealand. Tom David Played for the British Lions in the 1974 tour of South Africa and at the time played club rugby for Lllanelli RFC. He also played for his home-town club Pontypridd and in 1976 was part of the Grand Slam winning Wales team. In 1981 he switched to Rugby League joining Cardiff RLFC. |
