USS NORTH DAKOTA (BB29)
Built
by Fore River and launched on the 10th of November 1909 and commissioned
into the US navy on the 11th April 1910. On her sea trials she had great

overhauled after only three years service. But this did not improve
matters. USS North Dakota was put into the reserve fleet on the 1st of
July 1915. In 1916 Parson Turbines were fitted and she returned to service
on the 27th February 1917. Saw little service during the rest of the great
war. the ship was decommissioned in November 1923 and was used as a target
ship until finally scrapped in 1931.
