Naiade Class Submarines of the French navy. These single hull steel submarines were designed by M Romazotti and ordered dander the 1900 naval programme, Built at the Arsenal de Toulon, Rochefort, and Cherbourg. The cost of each submarine was 365,000 francs (approximately).

Displacement: 70.5 tons surfaced and 73.6 tons submerged. Speed: 7.2 knots surfaced and  5.98 knots subm,erged. Range of 200 nm at 5.5 knots or 30 miles submerged at 4.1 knots.    Armament: 2  17.7 -inch torpedo tubes  Crew of 12.
