Displacement: 19,560 tons. Speed: 21 knots.
Armament: Ten 12 inch guns in pairs, twenty 4 inch quick firing guns, four
3pdr guns, three 18 inch torpedo tubes. Compliment:
718.
HMS ST. VINCENT. Built at
Portsmouth Dockyard and launched 10th September 1908, being
commissioned into the Royal navy on the 3rd May 1909. She took
part in the Battle of Jutland
during World War One and after the
war, she was used as a training ship. from march 1919, finally
removed from service 1921 and sold for scrap on 1st December 1921. |

Descendents of Crew Notice board
MESSAGES
SIDNEY MAYNARD.. My grandfather Sidney Maynard, served on
the HMS St Vincent and was at the battle of Jutland during the first world
war. Lived most of his life in Wembley and died in Harrow in 1958 aged
