HMS Pallas wooden central battery ironclad.. Photos and history of HMS Pallas, Built at Woolwich Dockyard and laid down on the 19th October 1863, launched 14th march 1865 and completed 6th march 1866. HMS Pallas was built as a private venture by Reed and sold to the Admiralty in 1863. She went into refit in 1870 when her armament was modified and a control tower added. out of refit in 1872. but her service life was short being sold and scrapped in 1886 Displacement: 3661 tons. Speed; 12.5 knots. Armament: Four 7 inch guns, two 7 inch breach loaders. Crew 253. |
