HMS Edinburgh was built at Swan Hunter
at Wallsend and launched on the 31st March 1938, she served in the Home
Fleet during 1939 and 1942, she was torpedoed and sunk on the 2nd May 1942
by U-456 along with Destroyers in the Barents Sea and was scuttled two
days later

Armament:
Twelve 6 inch guns in threes. Twelve 4 inch anti-aircraft guns in pairs and
sixteen 2pdr anti-aircraft guns in mounts of eight as well as eight 0.5 inch machine
guns in pairs. Six 21 inch torpedo tubes in threes and 3 aircraft.
