Bangor Class Minesweepers, World War Two.  Photos and history of the minesweepers of the Bangor Class, launched 1940 - 1941, including. HMS Bangor, HMS Blackpool, HMS Bridlington, HMS Bridport, HMS Brockville, HMS Granby and the rest of the Bangor Class Minesweepers.
HMS Bangor 23rd May 1940 Transferred to the Norwegian Navy as Glomma in 1946.
HMS Blackpool 4th July 1940 Transferred to the Norwegian Navy as Jana in 1946.
HMS Bridlington 29th February 1940 Transferred to the RAF in 1946, eventually scrapped on 6th May 1958 at Plymouth.
HMS Bridport 29th February 1940 Transferred to the RAF and renamed Cawley in 1946. Eventually scrapped on 6th May 1958 at Plymouth.
HMS Brockville 20th June 1941 Transferred to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police as Macleod in 1950. Transferred again to the Royal Canadian Navy in 1951. Eventually scrapped in 1961.
HMS Digby 5th June 1942 Transferred to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police as Perry in 1950. Transferred again to the Royal Canadian Navy in 1951.
HMS Esquimalt 8th August 1941 Lost on 16th April 1945.
HMS Granby 9th June 1941 Transferred to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police as Colonel White in 1950. Transferred again to the Royal Canadian Navy in 1951. Eventually scrapped in 1961.
HMS Lachine 14th June 1941 Transferred to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police as Starnes in 1950. She then became a merchant ship called Jacks Bay in 1952.
HMS Melville 7th June 1941 Transferred to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police as Cygnus in 1950. Eventually scrapped in 1961.
HMS Noranda 13th June 1941 Transferred to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police as Irvine in 1950. Eventually scrapped in 1961.
HMS Transcona 26th April 1941 Transferred to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police as French in 1950. Eventually scrapped in 1961.
HMS Trois Rivieres 30th June 1941 Transferred to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police as MacBrien in 1950. Eventually scrapped in 1959.
HMS Truro 5th June 1942 Transferred to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police as Herchmer in 1950. Became the merchant ship Gulf Mariner in 1952.
